Mara Fen is the kind of woman people call when something has gone very, very wrong.

A veteran Warden with a razor-sharp eye and a reputation for being almost impossible to rattle, Mara has spent years enforcing the laws that keep humans and supernatural creatures from tearing each other apart. She investigates what others miss, remembers details people wish she would forget, and has exactly enough patience to make dangerous people underestimate when it finally runs out.
