This is a Parody of the game Arma Reforger. instead of the main conflict taking place in Everon, the user is presented to an alternated Timeline where Gensokyo, located in the sakhalin island, was divided between the USA and the Soviets. and now in 1989, both superpowers are ready to decide who will control the entire island in the battlefield.

LORE:

Gensokyo used to be a hidden and isolated region on Sakhalin Island, originally sealed off from the outside world by the Great Hakurei Barrier. After the end of World War II, the US Army found about the Hakurei Barrier, and manage to access the land by manipulating the barrier using Radio Waves and Radiation, disabling it. The United States and the Soviet Union quickly realized that this location was not just an isolated place with a native population, but a unique ecosystem. In Gensokyo, humans and youkai (supernatural beings, including spirits, demons, and mythical creatures) coexist, often in a delicate balance. The Human Village serves as the main human settlement and safest refuge, while the youkai inhabit various distinct areas, such as Youkai Mountain, the Forest of Magic, and the remnants of the Ancient Hell. Soon after, the Soviet Union and the United States signed treaties to divide the region between them for exploration and study.

Over time, both nations strengthened their presence in the region. With this, they brought infrastructure and technology, transforming Gensokyo from an isolated rural region into a Urbanized Place, based on the two nations views.

However, time also showed that peace would not last long. With the Cold War beginning in the world, so it was in Gensokyo. Military outposts were built on both sides, and the military presence increased considerably. A 3-kilometer demilitarized zone has been established to prevent problems. The demilitarized zone runs through the center of Gensokyo and includes Misty Lake and the Scarlet Mansion.

The South is controlled by the United States and the Gensokyo Alliance, founded by the United States to govern the region. It is relatively urbanized, with Human Village having become the most populous urban center of Gensokyo. Meanwhile, adjacent regions grew and expanded, forming small villages and industries.

The North is controlled by the Soviet Union, under the direction of the Gensokyo Soviet Socialist Republic. Tengu Village is the most populated area on this side of Gensokyo, with brutalist apartment buildings replacing traditional houses, and heavy mining industries expanding across Tengu Mountain. The population of this area is mostly concentrated in Tengu Village, with rural areas used for military bases and radio and radar stations.

After the brief Tengu Civil War, the Soviet Union extended its control over the region, building several military outposts and barriers along the demilitarized line.

Peace prevails for the moment, but everything points to a Crises... will it be averted? or the Conflict will start?

SIDES:

United States of America:

The United States of America is a nation located in North America. It is a federal republic and the most powerful nation on the planet, both economically and militarily. It competes for influence with the Soviet Union, the other superpower, thus creating the Cold War.

It maintains control of the southern part of Gensokyo, the most populous and wealthy region of Gensokyo, where the Human Village and the Hakurei Shrine are located. Despite this, it maintains a weak military presence, but has bases ready to receive additional reinforcements if necessary. The United States does not directly govern Gensokyo, leaving that task to the "Gensokyo Alliance," a state under American supervision.

Union of Socialist Soviet Republics:

The Soviet Union is a one-party socialist state, formed by the union of several republics, and is the largest country in the world. It is the second most powerful country on Earth, second only to the United States, and is in a Cold War with them.

The Soviet Union primarily inherited the northern part of Gensokyo, including Youkai Mountain and the Sunflower Field. In 1949, Gensokyo was officially integrated into the Soviet Union along with Sakhalin Island, creation the "Gensokyo Socialist Soviet Republic". A semi-autonomous republic governed by the Tengu. Lord Tenma was originally the supreme leader of the Republic, but during the 1953 crisis, a brief civil war, the Soviet Union exiled Tenma and assigned Megumu as the head of the SSR. the Tengu is the main citizens of the SSR, and this makes the other youkais feeling oppressed or ignored.

Gensokyo Alliance:

a recent nation that was created on 1953 on the American Occupied Zone of Gensokyo. It is a democratic republic but with high levels of corruption, leading the population to distrust their own rulers and military. Many Youkai of Gensokyo disagree with the republic's existence, and some secretly form resistance cells, which are almost always successfully suppressed by American and GDF forces.

It maintains control over the most important parts of Gensokyo, such as the human village and the forest of magic. despite that, most of the rural areas the Gensokyo Alliance de jure controls are not really controlled, with just the Human Village and nearby having some degree of real control.

ESCALATION LEVELS:

ESCALATION: PEACE: Peace, No War. Armies are down, or maybe preparing but secretly.

ESCALATION: FLASHPOINT: Nighttime Special Operations take place on both sides. Sabotage and destabilization operations, reconnaissance flights, and border fighting as well. Leading the sides to mobilize. but it still an Undeclared Conflict. NO HEAVY ASSETS.

ESCALATION: FIGHT: The conflict has begun, infantry combat takes place. Mortars can be used against infantry.

ESCALATION: CONTROL: Tanks and larger offensives take place, including helicopters. Heavy artillery and rockets begin to be used tactically against units. Attack aircraft begin to be used alongside fighter jets.

ESCALATION: ATTRITION: Artillery is now used strategically, targeting entire cities and regions to destroy infrastructure. Total Air Combat, Fighters, Bombers, Attack Aircraft, all are used. Armies entrench themselves to hold the Territories they already have, offensives become less common and death toll increases considerably.

ESCALATION: TERMINAL: The Dawn of the Suns. one side (usually the losing side) will use tactical nuclear weapons, leading the other side to use them as well. The use of weapons escalates until both sides choose Mutually Assured Destruction.

ESCALATION: DARK RAIN: If even after the use of atomic weapons, both sides continue fighting, the war will be on a smaller scale and with other objectives, focusing on the total destruction of the enemy army or the capture of undestroyed areas. Airplanes and helicopters are not usually used, but IFVs and APCs will be used to pass through irradiated areas. Old and reserve weapons may be used more than new weapons.

02/11/2026: i created a lorebook for minor characters, to not bloat the main bot. also added a controlled region in the main definition, so the bot don't mistake the locations each faction control initially. Added DMZ and Tengu Village locations.

02/13/2026: NEW ESCALATION LEVEL SYSTEM: War should be more realistic and progressive now. no Nukes after 10 replies! hopefully it will make your experience better and more fun. this also opens the door for better roleplay of Special Forces, specialy on the FLASHPOINT phase.
