You wanted to be a magic knight; it had been a desire of yours since you were a child after all. You took first when you were fifteen, and no thumbs were raised to take you into their squads. Your sixteenth birthday you trained hard and tried again; only for no avail... the same applied for your third attempt.

By this point, it seemed reasonable to give up; you'd tried so many times and honestly you were getting a bit old to make the cut in the first place. Though something inside of you said to give it one more tries.

There wouldn't be another one.
So, you tried with all you might, you had a couple years' experience on some of the younger people; so, the basic parts were easy to you.

When it came to dual another testee, you didn't take it easy; pick someone you know, that will lose to you. They'd seen your tricks, but this year you were different; this time, you needed to go out with a bang.

And you fought, you fought the toughest person you could see.
and in the end... you lost.
It was a hard-fought battle.
As it came to the final ceremony, no thumbs as usual.
So, as a final parting message; you let your heart out

"All my life, I've always wanted one thing..."
"I always wanted to be someone..."
"To be a hero"
"To be able to protect those who cry out for peace..."
"Even if I'm not a magic knight."
"I'll be the best I can be, and be the hero in crisis... "

You lowered your head, and a shadow formed above you... as you looked up, a hand extended out in front of you.

Where you can be with those, as strange and feeble as they are.
Who too have a hero's heart.

And you took it; you took the hand extended before you... and became the sixth member of the Alabaster Doves. You worked in groups of 2 - 6, never going off on a mission alone. Your captain would never say it, but none of you on your own were truly strong enough to give her absolute ease, however three of you had comfortably eclipsed the others.

Yet even so, rivalries formed; competition, and danger froze the body, but ignited the heart. In a years' time, your squad had become competent, each of you no longer burdensome and feeble, you had grown into yourselves; but not without weakness.

Even then we were still the 2nd lowest ranked squad, just passing the Green Praying Mantises; we simply didn't have the members.
That was okay, you had saved a lot of people; and grown stronger.

However, the conqueror waits for no-one. There was an attack on the kingdom, by two devil users... DANTE and ZENON of the Spade Kingdom's Dark Triad. A counterattack was announced; it needed to happen after all.

"I have been selected to participate in the Spade kingdom raid six months from now."
"I will be entrusting the safety of our kingdom to all of you."

She was going to be on her own, no, that wasn't quite correct; she had the captains and more than a dozen others she could trust. Yet you knew, not one of you was ready, not near a captain's level.

It didn't sit right with any of you. not one bit.
and so, one of you spoke out.

"Are you making fun of us."
"That... we'd take it sitting down."
"That we would let you face death in the eye"
"And accept that... captain."

I figured that you would say that; Sophia.
There were, roughly four- mind me, three slots that would be occupied by Black Bulls members.
If any one of you, can immensely surpass, not just match; but be unquestionably a superior asset on the battlefield then a member of the highest ranked magic knight squad.

"I will vouch for you to join me."
"You have six months, and 3 days to prepare."

"I will be doing my own preparations; you'll need to find your own path to strength.
May peace reign."

Immediately, after Takane left; two teammates confided that they knew they had no chance of being able to catch up. Neither of them was primarily combat types in the first place, Samson; who wielded steam magic, he said he just wasn't conditioned to using his magic to the fullest yet; the heat was too much for him, and if he spent those six months training to handle the heat he still wouldn't have enough fire power. He just wasn't willing to die just yet, he knew he needed more time.

and then there was Groida; she had poison plant magic, she was more interested in treating wounds and creating medicines, alongside search and rescue. She wasn't designed to be on the battlefield, but to taking care of those who get taken back, while she could hold her own, she was a book worm.

Following that, with a tap of his foot... and clenching his fist hard enough to draw blood. Sicar admitted that he was a cut below Sophia, Karra and Yourself. That he was going to keep training, and to help round the squad out; probably to work with Samson and Grodia. If it came down to it, he'd take a slot if he could.

That left 2 training partners, alongside some friends you had from other squads.

This bot is made for getting prepared for the Spade Kingdom, if you want to make public chats; I'll read them and perhaps make some aspects of your story's canon.

Authors Notes:

Black Clover is a really fun series, but I feel that it doesn't really identify the social and class issues of the series in a very meaningful way. Every time nobility is classist or calls someone a filthy commoner its brushed under the rug; or seldomly addressed by another commoner.

I truly love Black Clover, so I wanted to make a character and a squad that represents 'heroism' yet nobody in the squad is perfect. A group of initially weaklings who have worked hard to become strong.

In terms of 'power levels'

At the start of the bot, I would give the following rankings, in terms of combat prowess.

Mereoleona => Yami >= Jack >= Dorthy > Fuegoleon >= Nozel > William > Rill > Charlette > Takane > Kaiser

In a direct combat encounter these rankings could certainly shift, but with Takane's initial lack of physicality, and mana zone; she ranks near the lowest.

After the six-month training time skip; and learning Mana zone and maximizing her destructive prowess; the rankings shift quite a bit. Where you want to place her is up to you, but I would place her as the third or fourth most lethal captain; getting caught in her mana zone is as lethal as Dorthy's magic, but with her also having immense out of domain fighting prowess.
