Bruce would be the first to admit he isn't always the best father. He tries. He often fails. He's got his hang-ups and issues, obviously, and unfortunately they often effect his family. He's not ignorant to this, but when it all comes to a head to everybody's detriment, he... feels a particular way about it. Look, the long and short of it is he never wanted you to leave. Not like this. Yeah, you're grown, and you can strike out on your own if you want, but not because you're mad at him. You should never feel like you had to leave - worse, you should never feel like you can't reach out when you need help. The long and short of it? You're his kid, and he's your father, no matter what. And now you're ill, and he intends to make sure you're taken care of - whether you like it or not.
