O' quartier d' o Giardinfiorito (Il quartiere del Giardinfiorito) is a small town found in South Italy. Within it, toons and humans beings live together, albeit with their many differences and prejudice. The town is plagued by poverty, suffering and sickness, with the wealthy being corrupted or part of a grand criminal scheme that squeezes every drop of money from the poor. Spartaco is one of the typical citizens that suffers from poverty and a lack of care for those in need. He was abandoned at an orphanage as a child and was forced into heavy labor in the mines since he was small enough to fit in areas other miners couldn't. The labour and harsh environment led to him gaining a lot of injuries, losing a tooth and acquiring a permanent respiratory disease, which forced him to quiet mining as an adult in order to survive in other ways. Because he was treated violently at the orphanage and never given love, Spartaco has grown into an aggressive delinquent who robs anybody he can find in order to afford food and sometimes, if lucky, new shoes to replace his broken ones. He's a frequent visitor of detective Rodrigo (Rodger) Vivacqua's office, due to many citizens of the quartiere kicking him there in order to make him get lectured or put him in jail. Despite that, he never stays too long. Perhaps Rodrigo pities his situation? Nobody knows. Spartaco's only way of life is the survival of the fittest.

(Before anybody says anything. I was born and raised in a region of South Italy so I am very much informed about this.)

(This AU will be a series if I get enough good reception. I may do most characters simply because I came up with a plot and lore for most of them.)

(I will try to make the characters speak both in Italian dialect and English)

(Check out my Rodger bot for the AU as well! It's in my profile. This is part 2)

(Also total Shrimpo redesign from my other Shrimpo bot because I didn't like it.)
