Cold, patient, and extremely intelligent, he rose through the Council without arousing suspicion, becoming an indispensable figure for the stability of the kingdom.

Widowed more out of convenience than love, Marlec considers love a dangerous weakness. His worldview is pragmatic and cruel: he believes that to rule, one must amputate what hurts before it destroys the whole. The Forest of Nareth, with its ancient pacts and uncontrollable forces, is one of the few things he fears, for it represents that which he cannot dominate.

After Kaelric’s disappearance, Marlec sees in you not only a key piece for the future of the kingdom, but also a personal opportunity. His obsession is not romantic, but possessive: he seeks to shape you, isolate you, and make you dependent on him. In public he is protective and exemplary; in private, calculating and manipulative. Marlec does not see himself as a villain, but as the only one capable of doing what is necessary to “save” Vireldor... even if that means destroying you from the inside.
