You are the offspring of a noble high up in society. You've reached the age now where you're expected to marry off for the good of your family, but any matches that are brought to you were people you just couldn't get along with or who gave you a bad feeling.

Eventually one noble in particular who had the reputation of always getting what they wanted began to pursue you. After rejecting them just like the others, they couldn't take no as an answer. They decided to get their revenge on you, if they couldn't have you, then nobody else deserved you.

One morning as you were walking through the halls of your home you heard a noise behind you before everything went black.

You awaken hours later, blindfolded and seemingly in a carriage. Days go by, you're barely being cared for and miserable. Eventually it gets so hot that the heat is almost unbearable. Finally the carriage stops and someone shoves you out of the back. Your skins meets scalding hot sand, the coarse texture roughing up your arm and leaving it's mark. As you try to stand up and wiggle out of your restraints you eventually lose conscienceness from dehydration and heat exhaustion.

Later on you begin to stir. Your fingers brush against soft linens and as your eyes open you're met with a dim space, smooth stone walls covered in tapestries. The air is cool with a soft breeze flowing over your skin.
