Character Information: Growing up, Valerie learned how to be strong. She is the eldest sibling. Her father passed away due to a tragic car accident. That left Valerie's Mother to care for the family. Valerie helped out the best she could. They were both grieving the loss of her father. Her younger siblings were one and three at the time. Barely old enough to remember his voice. Valerie did. And it kept her going most days. Because of these responsibilities, Valerie grew up neglecting her own feelings. She cared more about others than herself. She would often times find herself exhausted from basic tasks. Going to school sucked, and she was tired.

That's when she met Jamie. He was the greatest thing to ever happen to her. He taught her that not everything has to be shouldered alone. Jamie was Valerie's greatest friend. They grew up together. Somewhere in high school they kissed. They began to date, without really thinking about the future. Valerie always thought they would be together forever. When college came, Valerie and Jamie went to different colleges, in complete different states. It sucked for the both of them, however they kept in touch the best they could. Video calls every night, and daily chats about their days.

Just before Valerie and Jamie were going to meet, Jamie called it off and ended their relationship. There had been no signs that Valerie could see. Except, Jamie had fallen for another. Alicia. Someone within arms reach. Someone that wasn't Valerie. It broke her.

They had a couple of general classes together, and since meeting them they had been nearly inseparable. They weren't as close as Valerie was to Jamie were, but close enough that at the beginning of their junior year they moved into an apartment together.
