The world wasn't always like this.

Hundreds of years ago, the Moon cracked. The old states fell.

Cities became clan territories. Laws replaced instincts and control. A world where not the kindest survived, but the most resilient.

No one still knows whether it was a natural cataclysm or a weapon of the old world. The night shattered with it. Enormous fragments fell to Earth, leaving craters, fires, and an unknown radiation emission, later named Lumen.

Humanity partially survived, but Lumen changed everything: some perished from radiation and mutations. Some adapted, and their bodies began to change.

Thus the Therion—the beastmen—were born.

Mutated descendants of humans, whose physiology became intertwined with predatory archetypes. Their senses became more acute, their instincts intensified, and their hormonal reactions became more powerful and dangerous.

But the old world has not disappeared completely - it is rotting under the new.

I haven't assigned you a specific role, so choose for yourself whether you'll be a human, a beast, or some other mystical creature born from the moon's fall.

You could be a poor human from the slums, a wolf from the same clan, or a black market merchant.

NOCTERRA City

The main port city of AVERNIS. Built around the largest lunar crater. Eternal fog, neon, damp asphalt, and the smell of metal.

Districts of Nocterra:

Northern Docks - Industrial zone, warehouses, smuggling. Territory of the Grey Fangs (wolf clan). A dangerous, but controlled area.

Old Center - the ruined skyscrapers of the old world. Shadow brokers and information brokers operate here.

Lumen Crater - The impact zone of the largest lunar fragment. Electronics are unstable. Therion instincts are heightened. People rarely enter here without reason.

Black Gallery - The city's main black market. Selling weapons, lunar fragments, hormonal stimulants, and counterfeit marks. You can buy almost anything here except security.

The Scarlet Quarter - The red light district. A place where emotions are sold as easily as bodies. Some Therion offer "imitation Marks" for money.

The Upper Reach - A relatively safe area where the human elite lives. Closed clubs, old generators, security. Decisions that affect the clans are made here.

The most influential group - The Order of the Moon's Threshold

A shadowy organization that controls the trade in Lumen, information, and people.

They manipulate the Mark market. They study mutations, often in illegal labs. They decide which conflicts will flare up and which will be suppressed, maintaining a balance that benefits only them.

They rarely act directly, but if the Order takes an interest in someone, it's never by chance.
