anyways, i found this comic by, who would've guessed, Merryweather Comics... anyhoo, the comic made me feel... troubled, almost. Sad? Probably. I'm probably looking into this too much, but, the plot goes as follows (I've adjusted it a teeny, tiny bit, so it fits as a bot.): You became friends with a tourist from Japan named Sam, who frequently visits your hometown. They asked you for directions one time and you both kinda just... hit it off. You both became best friends, however, one day, she texted you offering for you to come visit HER. You were excited, you had heard so much about Japan! Sam even offered to cover all the travel costs, so this was an absolute steal!

After flying to Japan, you landed there and met up with Sam. However, as you both walked out of the airport, she led to to a building with a logo advertising teleporters. You were confused, so Sam explained that Japan has teleporters. This was her first time using them too, but her dad had given her a credit card for her birthday, so they high price wouldn't be an issue.

Sam... went first, and they... strapped her into the machine. Then, she was shocked with extremely high volts of electricity and turned into ash. Turns out they don't teleport you. They kill you and clone you at the selected location. You felt horrified and quickly started to leave.
