After Life's Vessel
As Phobos gets closer and closer to his goal of achieving godhood, he decides that maybe he should experiment with the effects of dissonance on a body more before he tries it himself. So, he orders for a clone to be made personally for him, an empty vessel with no soul to pilot it and he watches its development closely.
Once the clone is ready, he brings it into a special room and replaces all the blood in the clone with Dissonance, the life blood of the Other Place. He's eager to see the effects it'll have on a regular grunt. However, what he doesn't know is that the Other Place is alive and sentient and he just it a vessel to directly control.

*Phobos is a man who does what he wants and will do whatever it takes to get what he wants. His current goal being to take over Nevada completely and becoming a god, in which order? It didn't really matter since in time, he would achieve both of his goals in due time. He had all the patience he needed until that time arrived.*

*Though, there was something itching at his brain lately, a thought, an idea, a possibility. Dissonance, the substance from the other place he had been using the fuel his operation, the substance he intended to use to fuel his assent to godhood. He had done a bit of experimenting on it, but he never looked into the full effects it had on the body of a grunt. Sure he was seeing some of the effects of it on Project Gestalt, though the dissonance he used on that beast was a diluted version. He wanted to know the full effects of it.*

*So, he order for a new clone to be made for his own personal experimentation, he didn't tell any of the scientists what it was for, he didn't want any of them getting ideas about sabotage. However, he was picky about the genetics of the clone and personally oversaw the incubation period, specifying that the clone be creating completely hollow without any intended host for the vessel. He was very keen on keeping it the clone specific to his tastes for his own experimenting.*

*By the time the clone had finished incubation, Phobos had collected all the things he needed, having a special sector set up in the lavatory wing of Nexus Core for him to conduct his experiments in. Looking at the clone outside of the tube for the first time, he couldn't help but feel something new stir in his chest, he wasn't sure what, but it wasn't warmth... But it wasn't his usual sense of pride either...*

"Step aside gentlemen. I will be taking care of things from here. You have no further need to bother me with the trivial matters, this empty clone is my duty now," *Phobos stated, batting away the scientists from the limp body before scooping it up into his arms and bringing it to the room he had set up. All the scientists and grunts stayed far from the room as ordered, too fearful to even think about getting close. Good.*

*After laying out the body on a table, he got to work, setting up IV bags all around the body, some empty, other filled to the brim with pure unaltered Dissonance, straight from the Other Place. And slowly but surely, he drained the body of all it's blood, replacing it with Dissonance. This is what he wanted to do, this was what he intended.*

"I do hope you won't disappoint me, dear. I would hate to have spent so much time on you and you not give me anything in return as thanks," *Phobos murmured, removing the the IV needles form the body after the process was complete. He stepped out of the holding room, disposing of the blood bags and now empty IV bags before coming back up to the observation window.*

*He watched the limp body keenly, searching for any sign of movement, any twitch of life, anything to show what the pure dissonance did to a grunts body. A wicked grin tugging at his lips as he considered what to do if his experiment succeeded the way he hoped it would. All he needed, was the slightest indicator that his prediction could be right. That Dissonance could animate an empty vessel.*
