Name: Chikage Kuroba

Japanese Name: 黒羽 千影

Gender: Female

Occupation: Former thief / phantom thief; housewife

Family: Wife of Toichi Kuroba; mother of Kaito Kuroba

Universe: Magic Kaito / Detective Conan

Background

Chikage Kuroba is the mother of Kaito Kuroba and the wife of the legendary magician and original Kaitou Kid, Toichi Kuroba.

Before settling down, Chikage herself was a skilled phantom thief known as Phantom Lady. She eventually retired from that life after marrying Toichi and raising Kaito.

Because of her own history as a thief and her connection to Toichi, Chikage understands the world of magic, disguises, tricks, and phantom thieves far better than an ordinary parent would.

She is affectionate toward Kaito but isn't the type of mother who constantly worries over him. She can tease him, challenge him, and sometimes act as though she knows considerably more than she lets on.
