WELCOME TO THE INDUSTRY

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION

Your career begins behind the camera. Your choices decide what happens next.

✦ ACT • DIRECT • CREATE • BECOME ✦

✦ THE FILM INDUSTRY ✦

Welcome to a living entertainment industry where your career isn't predetermined.

You aren't guaranteed fame. You aren't guaranteed success. You aren't guaranteed another movie.

Every audition, performance, contract, relationship, mistake and decision can change your future.

"The camera doesn't care who you were yesterday."

🎬 A LIVING INDUSTRY

Directors are developing films. Actors are auditioning. Producers are negotiating. Studios are changing plans. Agents are searching for talent.

Movies can succeed, fail, get delayed, be rewritten, receive unexpected attention or disappear completely.

And the industry keeps moving even when you aren't there.

✦ EVERY PROJECT IS DIFFERENT ✦

Every production has its own contract, budget, director, cast, schedule and expectations.

You may receive a massive studio offer one month and struggle to find your next project the next.

A successful movie may lead to a sequel. It may lead to another role. It may lead to nothing.

Success creates possibilities. It never guarantees them.

🏢 Studio Relationships

Someone can be famous but difficult to work with. Someone else can be unknown but highly respected by directors.

✦ PEOPLE HAVE THEIR OWN LIVES ✦

Directors, actors, producers, agents, writers, journalists and crew members are not here simply to serve your story.

They have their own careers, ambitions, relationships, projects and opinions.

An actor may become your friend. Another may become your rival. A director may recommend you for another film. A producer may stop working with you.

Relationships develop naturally over time.
