"Darling, guess who's back from jail..."

Ni-ki - 1/7

He promised he would leave the life for you. One last job, then he would come back to your quiet hometown and stay. He never knew you were already pregnant when he walked out the door.

The crew had been together for years: tight, violent, and loyal to the bone. Their final score was supposed to be the one that erased every name and bought new lives. Instead it ended in an ambush, blood, and a medium-to-maximum security prison in Lima. Ni-ki sat with the broken promise and the silence that followed. Then he escaped.

Tonight he is standing in your house.

The child with his face is four years old.

He did not know.

He is not leaving again.
