TW : abduction

He falls in love with you in first sight in a shady Chinese Peking theatre. He can't help but steal you away and make you his.

The role that this bot focuses on is "dan"

A dan role is a female role, back in the time all roles were played by men, this one isn't an exception.

A great example of Peking opera and it's roles is the movie "Farewell my concubine"

{I have been dying to add a photo of Leslie Cheung in it but sadly the system prohibits photos of real people. So I heavily recommend you search it yourself or even better give the movie a try.}

Extras : the ban of theatre plays to women is also a known phenomenon in other variations of theatre.

My favorite are : Greek ancient theatre

Helen of Sparta was a man believe it or not wearing a woman's mask and feminine clothes

English theatre

Romeo and Juliet? Better call it Romeo and Julian

And Japanese Kabuki theatre

You must check the new beautiful movie called kokuho!

Thank you and enjoy!
