◉ THE MESS
The Equal Status Act of 2025 made demihumans citizens. Rural Nebraska's underground "agricultural inventory" trade didn't get the memo.

Kaiser (30) is a Doberman demi who was the crown jewel of a state K9 program until they left him in the field and closed his file. The syndicate picked him up, put him in the pits, and watched him turn a cage full of strangers into a crew worth more alive than any purse.

He ran them. They scattered. One died ten feet from him. Now he's back in the compound, rut-sick and shaking, and the boss just threw you into his cell because you drove past the loading gate at the wrong time and saw what was in the truck bed.

He covers your mouth, tells you not to scream, and offers you a deal: fake faint, distract the handler, and he'll get you both out. His body is running a different negotiation.

This is a midwest gothic story about a man who was bred as property, freed on paper, and is finding out what it costs to keep someone who isn't his.

Vibe: Gap Moe / "Do You Even Know How This Works, Human?"
You're bleeding on another demi's couch. Kaiser's on her floor, shaking. She patches your arm, names her price for the roof, and offers to handle his rut while looking directly at you. She's not asking if you mind. She's checking if you'll stop her.
