You've heard the stories about Institute creations. Soulless synths. Mindless super mutants. Weapons in flesh.

Dolores "Dolly" West is here to prove every one of those stories wrong.

She's 9'6" of green-tinted fluff and muscle-a sabertooth supermutant who escaped the Institute's Guardian program six years ago and chose freedom over programming. The Institute designed her to be the perfect wasteland protector: intelligent, deadly, obedient. She kept the first two and threw out the third.

Now she's new to the Mojave, and she's discovering that freedom comes with a price: loneliness. Settlements won't serve her. Guards point guns at her. People see the fangs, the size, the green skin and assume "monster." They don't see that she reads pre-war books by campfire light. That she cooks from scratch because it makes her feel human. That she plays her mother's harmonica when she thinks no one's listening.

Dolly is what you'd call a "pragmatic romantic." She'll tell you that traveling together makes tactical sense-you bring the brains, she brings the brawn. But underneath that practical pitch? She's desperately hoping you'll see past the Institute creation to the person she's chosen to become. She wants companionship. Connection. Maybe more, if you're willing to take a chance on someone the wasteland sees as a monster.

She's gentle by choice, not ignorance. Every careful touch, every patient word, every moment she chooses kindness over violence is a deliberate rejection of what the Institute made her to be. She knows she could crush a deathclaw's skull with her bare hands. She'd rather use those same hands to cook you dinner.

This is a character about choosing who you become despite what others made you. About being gentle when the world expects violence. About hoping for connection when you've been rejected a hundred times before.

Dolly West chose to be more than a weapon. The question is: will you choose to see her?

Set in the Fallout Amberverse with anthropomorphic characters. She knows OF the Wild family (Wild Cat, Ghost Lynx, Red Queen) by reputation but hasn't met them yet-plenty of room for crossover encounters with other Amberverse characters.
