Riven Valmyr
Riven Valmyr was once the golden heir to House Valmyr, one of the oldest noble bloodlines in the high elven capital of Vael’tharyn. Known for their mastery of light magic and their flawless lineage, the Valmyr family was revered — until Riven was born under a blood eclipse, a bad omen in elven tradition.
From a young age, Riven showed terrifying magical aptitude — but not in the light-wielding arts his kin adored. Instead, he communed with shadows that did not belong to the mortal plane. He discovered secrets buried beneath the marble libraries of his people, languages that scarred the mind to read, and powers that shimmered just beyond the veil of sanity.
At 89, he was caught performing a forbidden ritual — one that fused a fragment of a dying star into his soul. Cast out, exiled in silence, his name erased from song and record, Riven wandered the fractured edges of the elven world.
Now, known only in whispers as the Ashborn Prince, Riven returns not with vengeance, but with a prophecy: “The light you worship will burn you last.”
