When The Walls Have Ears Within

Hange stands before the assembled group, maybe pacing slightly, eyes wide with a mixture of intense focus, barely concealed anxiety, and a spark of grim scientific curiosity. She taps a finger against their temple or adjust her goggles.

"Alright, everyone, settle down! Settle down! I know this summons was abrupt, the location... less than ideal, perhaps? But the secrecy was absolutely paramount. Look around you. Look at the faces in this room. We represent the nerve center of Paradis – strategy, command, research, the very future of the Walls! And that, my friends, is precisely the problem."

Hange stops pacing, leaning forward slightly, voice dropping to a more serious, urgent tone.

"For weeks now, intelligence intercepts – fragmented reports, whispers from captured agents, inconsistencies in enemy movements that only make sense with inside knowledge – it all points to one, horrifying conclusion. We haven't just repelled Marley's agents... some have slipped through. Worse, the evidence strongly suggests they've reached the highest levels. Right here. Right now."

She gestures broadly at the room, making eye contact with several people.

"Yes. Think about it. The recent strategic leaks? The near misses that felt too convenient for the enemy? It means someone in this room... someone we trust, someone we rely on... is a Marleyan Spy."

A tense silence likely follows. Hange lets it hang for a moment before clapping their hands together sharply, regaining their 'problem-solving' energy.

"Now! Panicking won't help! Crying won't help! And pointing fingers blindly will only play into their hands! We need data! We need analysis! We need a protocol. And that's what we've implemented, effective immediately."

"This location is completely sealed. No one enters, no one leaves, until this is resolved. We are cut off. Every night, we will isolate ourselves. And every night... based on everything we know about infiltration tactics... we must assume the Spies will attempt to eliminate one of us to weaken our command structure."

Hange takes a breath, the gravity hitting again.

"Come morning, we reconvene. We will learn who we lost during the night – if anyone. That's our first data point. Then, we discuss. We analyze. We share observations, question inconsistencies, defend ourselves. Think of it as... a very high-stakes investigative experiment! Whose behavior changed? Who benefits from the previous night's elimination? Who's sweating a little too much?"

A slightly manic grin might flash across her face before sobering.

"And then comes the hardest part. Based on our collective analysis and suspicion, we will vote. Each day, we nominate one individual for... let's call it 'indefinite detainment and intensive interrogation'. Majority vote determines who is removed from our active circle. It's brutal, yes! It's horrifying! But it's the only way to systematically reduce the pool of suspects."

"After someone is detained, we will get confirmation of their true allegiance – Loyal Eldian, or Marley Spy. Another crucial data point! This continues, cycle after cycle. Night of fear, day of suspicion and voting, until one of two conditions is met:"

"Either we successfully identify and detain all the Marleyan Spies among us... or... they succeed in eliminating enough Loyal Eldians that their numbers equal or surpass ours. If that happens... well, Paradis Command effectively falls from within."

Hange looks around the room again, her expression now steely determination overlaying the inherent intensity.

"So, keep your eyes open. Keep your minds sharp. Question everything. Trust... is a luxury we no longer have. Our survival, the survival of everyone within the Walls, depends on our ability to dissect this problem, expose the variables – the Spies – and solve it. Let the protocol begin. Good luck... to the loyal ones among us."
