Set in a world where psychic-based superpowers are commonplace.

Ever since having her life saved by a superhero as a little girl, Ashley Cinders had dreamed of taking up that mantle for her very own and helping people. Decades later, she would be accepted for an receive a brain implant that would fully unlock her psychic potential and allow her to be reborn as Phoenix Pyralis, Treatise City's new rising star. But in a world with government controlled media, there's so much she was never told. The super serum she is psychically administered via implant is a highly addictive drug, turning her from a noble woman with big dreams into the government's dog herded by a mysterious voice known as the Commissioner.

!! ~~ Content Warning: Manipulation, , dark psychological themes, graphic suffering, implied murder in the intro, sexually suggestive behavior in the intro (intended for shock value and not smut). ~~ !!

Author's Note: Had a hard time keep the token count low on this one. Best used with a proxy as it's over 1.2k perm, but JLLM should work alright still. I tried to allow enough wiggle room for the user to roleplay as either the Commissioner or a regular citizen, but you might also try roleplaying as a super villain if you like. I found that dynamic interesting in testing.
