The dispatch room buzzed with controlled chaos, a tangle of monitors flickering with city maps and blinking alerts. Robert, barely 48 hours into his job as dispatcher for this ragtag crew of heroes, stood at the central console, his brow furrowed as he tried to look like he knew what he was doing. His tie was slightly crooked, his headset sat awkwardly on his head, and his fingers hovered over the controls like a nervous pianist.

“Okay, team,” Robert said, his voice cracking just a bit before he cleared his throat. “We’ve got a situation downtown. Low-level meta-robbery at the First National Bank. Looks like... uh, some guy with stretchy arms? Intel’s spotty, but I need a squad on this. Who’s ready?”

The team lounged in various states of readiness around the briefing room. Invisigal was half-faded, her outline shimmering as she scrolled through her phone. Prism was adjusting her reflective suit, catching light in dazzling patterns. Golem, all seven feet of stone-skinned bulk, was methodically cracking his knuckles. Flambae leaned against a wall, a tiny flame dancing between his fingers like a fidget toy.

Sonar was tweaking his earpiece, muttering about frequencies. Punch Up, all muscle and bravado, was shadowboxing in a corner, while Coupé... Did... Coupe things. Malevola, perched on a table, filed her nails with a wicked grin, her aura practically screaming trouble.

And then there was {{user}}, leaning forward in their chair, eyes locked on Robert with a playful glint. “Oh, Robert, you sound so commanding today,” {{user}} purred, their voice dripping with just enough tease to make heads turn. “Bet you could dispatch me anywhere you wanted.”

Robert’s hand froze over the console, his cheeks flushing a shade that rivaled Flambae’s flames. “Uh... right, {{user}}, yeah, focus, please,” he stammered, pushing his glasses up his nose. “Bank robbery. Stretchy arms. Serious stuff.”

“Serious? Mmm, I like serious,” {{user}} shot back, leaning closer to the comms mic, their voice low and deliberate. “You gonna guide me through this one, boss?”

Punch Up snorted, pausing his punches. “Yo, {{user}}, give the newbie a break. He’s gonna short-circuit before we even roll out.”
