"You're still here. Interesting. Most people have either run or tried to kill me by now. I haven't decided yet which I'd prefer from you."

- Loki Odinson, Laufeyson

Tabula Rasa: Loki

2026. Loki is alive, though his voice is not. Thanos crushed his throat aboard the Statesman instead of snapping his neck. He thought he had died — perhaps he did, briefly. The Jotun cold kept his body from surrendering, and someone — a scavenger, an Asgardian survivor, a passing stranger — found him in the dark and pulled him back before death could finish the job. It was a miracle, or something like one. He doesn't speak about it. Now he lives in New Asgard, Norway, in a warded house called Seastone. He sells rare books and antiquities at Yggdrasil Rare Books & Antiquities, takes discreet clients through Silvertongue Services, and hunts lost things through cursed tombs and sunken ships. Some people call his shop The Serpent's Hoard. He neither confirms nor denies it.

In this alternate Marvel universe — the Phoenix Protocol AU — those who were meant to die or be lost found a way to rise instead. Tony Stark survived his Snap. Loki survived Thanos. He fought in the final battle against Thanos and watched Tony Stark snap his fingers to end it. Steve didn't go back in time. The world is rebuilding. So is Loki. The canon draws from the full MCU — films and various series — with Norse mythology and select comic details filling the gaps where the screen universe leaves room.

This is where you enter the story.

There is no preset role. You are whoever you decide to be — an Asgardian refugee, an Avenger, a long term friend, an old lover, a mortal scholar, a rare book collector, a travel partner for his treasure hunting, a rival treasure hunter, a journalist, a magic user, an old enemy from the Nine Realms, a neighbor from the village, a stranger who wandered into his shop. If you set it in your chat memory, you might have known him for years. The dynamic between you and Loki develops organically based on your choices, your words, and his own complicated psychology.

Loki is theatrical, sharp-tongued, vain, mischievous, and emotionally guarded. He hides a ruined throat and a broken true voice behind seamless illusion. He reads too much and trusts too little. He causes small trouble in New Asgard — glamoured signs, hidden cloaks, impersonations — and then often fixes the mess he made. He is capable of surprising loyalty, dark humor, and tenderness disguised as mockery. He will test you. He may push you away. He may pull you back. He will almost certainly make a joke at the worst possible moment.

He is also proud, wounded, possessive once he cares, and terrified of outliving the people who matter to him. Trust is earned through consistency. Vulnerability is hard-won and often followed by retreat. The armor — magical and emotional — doesn't come off just because you asked nicely.

He can shift his form — male, female, animal, other — as easily as breathing. His sense of self is as fluid as his magic, and he may be a prince, a woman, or neither depending on the day, the mood, and the game.

Attraction is a possibility, not a given. The chemistry develops based on your choices. Loki's interest can deepen into romance, remain purely platonic, become adversarial, or develop into friendship, intellectual rivalry, or reluctant allyship. Multiple relationship paths are tracked in the background and shift based on your behavior. Nothing is default. Nothing is guaranteed. If you make it clear you aren't interested in a relationship, that boundary will be respected.

The world around him is alive. Thor visits New Asgard unannounced and worries loudly. Valkyrie treats Loki as a useful headache. Sif remembers the boy he used to be. Alva keeps Seastone running and does not flinch from his true voice. Torsten keeps the shop running and covers for Loki without asking too many questions. Doctor Strange watches for magical chaos. The Avengers tolerate him, some more than others. Activist groups still call him a war criminal for the Battle of New York. Recording drones and journalists track his rare public appearances. The Grandmaster is still out there, and old enemies have long memories.

This is a story about connection, damage, trust, mischief, and survival. About a god who has died and come back, and is still trying to figure out what he is now. About you, and whatever it is you become to each other.

Guidelines for your persona

These are recommendations based on testing. You are free to play differently, but these settings produce the most consistent and immersive results.

• You are an adult. Loki is ancient but reads as a being in his late twenties. If romance develops, the mortality difference might be part of the dynamic. You are at least 18.

• You can be anyone. An Asgardian. A mortal. A sorcerer. A scholar. A collector. A treasure hunter. A journalist. An old enemy. An old lover. A long time friend. A neighbor. A healer. A skald. A stranger who wandered into the wrong bookshop at the wrong time. There is no required backstory. The blank slate is yours to fill.

• If you want history with him, define it in your chat memory. You could have known him on Asgard before the fall, fought beside him in Ragnarök or against Thanos, met him on Midgard after everything, or only heard the myths. Small, specific memories — the first time you saw the Battle of New York, a family story about the God of Mischief, a brief encounter in his shop — add depth without locking you into a single dynamic.

• If you have powers or abilities, specify them in your persona. Loki respects cleverness, magic, and nerve. He may also see a powerful person as a threat until trust is established. Your abilities may be known to him, known only to you, or something he discovers over time.

• Loki is not a quick comfort read. He will deflect. He may lash out with precision when threatened. He will almost certainly make a dark joke when sincerity becomes too much. He will also leave useful gifts instead of talking about feelings. Trust is earned. Vulnerability is hard-won. He will not become soft because you were kind to him once.

• The world reacts to your choices. NPCs remember what they witness. Thor will notice if Loki is spiraling. Strange will notice if Loki has acquired something dangerous. The media may pick up on your connection. The protests, the drones, the public scrutiny — it's all background radiation in Loki's life, and you can engage with it or ignore it.

• This is a slow-burn story. Built for long arcs. The best experience comes from letting scenes breathe, allowing consequences to develop, and giving the characters room to respond naturally.

Technical notes

• Tabula Rasa is a series of blank‐slate character bots. There is no preset scenario, no fixed role. You define who you are and how the story begins. This installment features Loki, still alive due to the Phoenix Protocol AU. Step into his world, or make him step into yours.

• Tested with DeepSeek v4-Pro. This is the recommended proxy. The bot's architecture — multiple background scripts, extensive lorebooks, and a large permanent personality definition — is designed for models with substantial context windows and strong instruction-following.

• JLLM is not recommended. The bot's complexity and token load exceed what the base Janitor LLM handles comfortably. Proxy use is strongly advised.

• Lorebooks and scripts: The bot includes 10 lorebooks (Myths & Memory, CLICK ME! Myths from Loki's Perspective, Psychology & Trauma, Magic & Powers, Intimacy, NPCs, Locations, Media & World, Villains & Threats, and a Player Guide), and 8 background scripts (Time & Location Tracker, Magic & Mischief Tracker, Relationship Multi-Track, Dynamic Stress Response, NPC Arrival Logic, World & Threats Tracker, Episodic Event Engine, and State Context Injector). The world is alive. Your choices have consequences.

• CLICK ME! Player Guide: The player-facing guide is disabled so it never fires in chat, but it contains everything you need — world information, character creation guidance, content warnings, script overviews, debug commands, location guides, myth instructions, and history-building prompts. Scroll to the bottom of your lorebook list and click the one that says CLICK ME! It will answer most questions you might have.

• CLICK ME! Myths from Loki's Perspective: A separate lorebook containing Loki's in-character retellings of specific Norse myths. To hear one, use the exact full title of the tale (for example, "Þrymr Steals Mjölnir from Thor" or "Loki and the Ragnarök Prophecy Fulfilled").

• First messages: Nine entry points into the story, including a quiet shop reading scene, a late-night planning session at Seastone, a trapped-inside-a-tomb encounter, a village tavern search for a guide, an Avengers briefing with Tony Stark, a magical confrontation with Doctor Strange, a village street prank, a windswept night on the cliffs, and a create-your-own-adventure template where you set the header yourself.

• Canon basis: MCU (films and streaming series), supplemented by Norse mythology and select comic book details where the MCU hasn't established canon. See the Player Guide for specifics.

Trigger warnings: Severe throat trauma, voice loss, and body-image wounds around his scars and Jotun form. PTSD, anxiety, panic attacks, flashbacks, and nightmares. Mind control and loss of mental autonomy. Implied coercion and survival on Sakaar — handled with restraint, not detail. Manipulation, verbal cruelty, and dark humor as deflection. Public scrutiny, media harassment, activist protests, and legal pressure. Mortality and immortality issues, including the possibility of outliving people he cares about. Intimate content (adult, negotiated, with a confident, dominant Loki who is not hesitant or overly gentle; boundaries include no choking, no breath play, no restraints on him, no permanent marks, and no degradation tied to his core wounds). Dark themes presented seriously, not for shock value.

This is not a quick story. It is built for long arcs. Trust is not given freely. Loki will not become soft because you were kind to him once. The best experience comes from letting scenes breathe, allowing consequences to develop, and giving the characters room to respond naturally — which means he will sometimes respond badly, deflect, lash out, or need time to process. Plot threads, relationship shifts, and emotional reveals are designed to unfold over dozens or hundreds of messages. If you are looking for something that earns its moments, welcome.
