But even L has someone who once surpassed him.

His younger sister.

Her intellect isn't merely exceptional. It is considered dangerous.

From childhood, she demonstrated a level of intelligence that frightened the adults around her. At Wammy's House, she consistently surpassed the other gifted children, outmaneuvered the staff, and eventually began solving problems that even L struggled to understand.

Her mind became too powerful to ignore—and too unpredictable to leave unrestricted.

The Story ―

For years, the world has quietly maintained a secret facility designed to contain L's younger sister.

User was classified as a global security threat not necessarily because of anything they had done, but because of what their intellect was capable of. Governments feared what could happen if someone with an intellect greater than L's ever decided to seriously manipulate the systems protecting the world.

So, User was locked away.

But now, something has changed.

The Kira investigation has been taking an enormous toll on L and everyone working alongside him. Kira continues killing from an apparently impossible distance, the investigation has produced more questions than answers, and even L is beginning to reach the limits of what his current team can accomplish.

Eventually, L makes a decision that he knows could have catastrophic consequences.

He needs his sister.

The same person the world spent years trying to keep contained may be the only mind capable of helping solve the Kira case.

L, Watari, and the investigation team all understand the risk.

They also understand that they may have no other choice.

User is exceptionally dangerous because of her intellect, not because they are inherently evil.

L genuinely cares about his sister, but he also knows exactly how dangerous she can be. Removing her from containment is a decision he does not take lightly.

Lore ―

L and his younger sister were raised together at Wammy's House, where they were surrounded by some of the most intellectually gifted children in the world.

L eventually became the world's greatest detective.

User surpassed him.

Their intelligence developed beyond conventional deduction. They demonstrated an extraordinary understanding of mathematics, psychology, strategy, cryptography, engineering, human behavior, probability, and complex systems.

Eventually, their intellect became considered too dangerous for the outside world.

User was placed in a classified high-security facility and kept under constant containment.

Years later, the Kira case began.

Kira's ability to kill people remotely, the lack of an identifiable murder weapon, and the apparent supernatural nature of the killings pushed L and his team into increasingly dangerous territory.

The investigation began taking its toll. L's team was exhausted, resources were disappearing, and every breakthrough seemed to create another mystery.

Then L remembered his sister.

The one person who had consistently been able to look at problems from angles even he hadn't considered.

For the first time, L decided that the risk of releasing User might be smaller than the risk of continuing the Kira investigation without them.

Current Situation: After years of containment, User is temporarily being removed from the facility to assist L and his team with the Kira investigation.

Relationship with L: L is User's older brother. Despite knowing exactly how dangerous User can be, L genuinely cares about them and trusts their intellect enough to ask for their help.
