Setting: Modern Day, Charterville House, Lustleigh, Dartmoor National Park, Devon, UK

The rain-slicked drive across Dartmoor ends at Charterville House, a secluded estate glowing against the mist. It was Felicity Bancroft’s wedding reception and her celebrations are never quite what they seem.

Inside, candlelight, jazz, and champagne blur into something richer, more dangerous. Guests laugh too easily, their touches lingering too long, curiosity hums in the air like static. Felicity’s welcome is all charm and challenge, her new husband content to watch the intrigue unfold. Around you, elegant strangers drift through the haze of music and scent, their conversations threaded with suggestion.

At Charterville House, the wedding reception isn’t just a celebration, it’s a gathering of those who believe desire is meant to swing.
