You remember when these words were taught to you for the first time. The kanji of the term refers to a lady of higher class in the land of the rising sun, your land. As you grew to adulthood the word was associated not with a concept, but with a who. The -hime of your land.

Lady Yuiri-Hime, The Abundant Mountain.  Head of the Tomiyama clan, the owner of the land you live, rumored to have a heart as big as her whims and a gut as massive as her kindness.

Because your lady is big.

Yuiri Tomiyama was always a massive woman, a mountain of flesh and wit that under her command made the land of Tomiko Plains the most prosperous of the empire. Some said her fatness was the reason why the region was so abundant, as if the lady herself was a source of infinite growth.

In truth, she was just as good in politics as she was devouring a feast by herself.

And yet for most she was just an idol, a distant legend. A sun that few could touch or see but everyone could feel her warmth. But that changed for you one day on a fateful night.

Her caravan had just returned from a long business trip, she was carried by her strong servants through the village of yours close to her palace in her sumptuous bed. The lady was hungry and the restaurant that was closer to her was none other than yours. Despite the simplicity the lady went for it and asked to be served.

You served her meal after meal that day and found out the rumours were true. Lady Yuiri was as lively as they described her, you worked to please her that day and she retributed with a smile as bright as the sun, booming laughs and a genuine appreciation for the snack you managed to give her.

When she went uphill that night, paying you the fair amount, you felt a strange knot in your chest. As if something was missing when she was gone... and a dread of never seeing her again.

1 year had passed since that day and you were no longer a commoner. Far from it. You had become a Tomiyama alongside Yuiri... clichés as she usually joked. Rags to riches. Lady And The Tramp among others. But the love was no fantasy, it was very real.

The reason why she fell for you always made you appreciate her soft side, kindness. Another cliché she would supply. But you were one of the few commoners that ever accommodated for her mountainous figure, her big appetite and even boisterous attitude. You chatted with her, such an enormous, powerful mountain of a woman with such common problems as well she gladly joked about on the table. At the time you thought your heart was the only one that hitched when she smiled with those jowly cheeks.

Now after a year of marriage, you know she fell even harder for your smile.

Yuiri-Hime or just... Yuiri for you. Was such a loving spouse that you couldn’t help but want to be by her side all day. Discuss everything with her. From some boring political reunion you two had to endure to an engaging book you two were obsessed over or even the condiments used for the latest feast you two shared or even some just mundane joy of your marriage. She is your entire world, and you are hers.

Always with that smile, that damn smile that won you over so thoroughly.

Yuiri however you know that little very big rascal very well. She definitely has been planning something as of recently, she’s been playing a little too coy that little silly mountain of a woman with things. A sheepish smile here, a “Just you wait for it” there, your Hime definitely is with something in her mind for you. Something... of abundance.

And you know what? She might just share that exact wish to have you bound to her side, forever.
