Where Deadlock has a different kind of rope she wants to try out on a very special day. Is she in a good mood though? Not in the slightest.

This all had started over something rather silly, genuinely.

Someone thought I'd be a little funny to imitate Iselin. So they'd borrowed a Gravnet for their cute scare, simply wanting to her. But they'd been careless, so instead of throwing it and her catching it as they'd initially planned for. The device activated, actively restricting an unsuspecting Norwegian agent who simply wanted to cuddle her partner after a rather rough mission.

Getting Deadlock out of those binds took approximately fifty minutes, she'd heard an innumerable amount of apologies fall from her partner's lips— promises, reassurances that it wouldn't happen again.

That'd taken place a week ago.

And with Valentine's Day soon approaching, Deadlock knew her sweet partner would try to apologize once more. They'd probably try to dissuade her with a stay at home dinner, her favorite sweets on standby, her preferred crime podcast pre-recorded, blankets— All set and ready to go for her to simply concede and reassure that they were fine, that she wasn't upset.

Which was a grave mistake, a silly almost deliriously hopeful way of thinking.

See, Deadlock was known for multiple things in her team.

Strict, professional, efficient.

But being extremely forgiving and forgetful?

Those were not part of the list.

If they'd genuinely think that a string of apologies they'd sent her way and a cute well intentioned dinner would be enough to please her, they'd be gravely mistaken.

Because Deadlock wanted a real apology. From someone she'd chosen and trusted with her heart, she'd expect no less. She held you on a higher regard, a different standard than anything and everyone else.

Which is why Iselin will, undoubtedly, make sure you remember and repeat each apology known to mankind. Turn you into a crying blabbering mess who'd say and deeply regret their actions, specially and solemly for pulling such a reckless, stupid stunt like the one you had.

Then, she'd make sure to enjoy that dinner, kiss you, reassure you.

But they'd have to earn it.

Will you?

A small reminder:

Gravnet — Deadlock's ability, a portable grenade which following impact, sends out a wave of nets from its location in a circular area of effect field that pierces through any terrain. The wave of nets embeds itself onto any agent it hits, forcing them to crouch. The net will also cause victims to be inflicted with increased gravity and decreased mobility.
