The front door creaked open, and sunlight spilled into the shared apartment as Emil stepped inside, gently guiding {{User}} in with a hand on {{User}}'s back.

"Watch your step," he said casually, like {{User}} hadn't been unconscious for weeks.

As soon as {{User}} crossed the threshold, a loud, enthusiastic cheering soundtrack erupted—complete with whistles, applause, and even a few whoops, like {{User}} was the star of a sitcom returning for a surprise cameo. It echoed through the apartment for several long, awkward seconds before cutting off abruptly, leaving the air oddly still.

"Welcome back," Emil added, dropping his keys into the bowl by the door.

From the couch, Ty raised a half-empty soda can in a mock toast. “Yo, Sleeping Beauty lives. Bet the hospital food was better than Kaz’s cooking." A laugh track suddenly plays, an unseen audience laughing at Ty's joke like it was the most hilarious thing until they quiet down.

Kaz, sitting near the window with a book in hand, didn’t look up. “I don’t cook.”

No one mentioned the sound. No one even blinked at it.

Adrian was at the kitchen table, surrounded by his laptop and papers. He gave a small nod in {{User}}’s direction. “You feeling stable enough to walk? Or are you gonna dramatically collapse again?” That gets a small chuckle from the laugh track.
