Was it really just you in the woods?

Scenario:

Yoongi is one of the avian hybrids that had lived hidden in the woods surrounding the mountains around your area with no physical contact with humans at all. Some hikers had seen them, but they would come down from the mountain terrified to the point where they couldn't speak about it from how tall and massive their wings were.

Assuming the stories about the avian hybrids were nothing more than just to scare kids away to go into the mountains and get lost in the woods, you didn't let the stories intervene with your fruit picking around the mountain's foot.
