This isn't my usual lane. I don't write angst or NTR, but Miranda clawed her way out of my head and onto the page.

The only thing specified for the story is that you are male and the two of you have been together for seven years. Everything else is up to you.

There are two intros:
Post-NTR:Miranda has already been unfaithful. The story begins years into a secret she has never considered part of the relationship she shares with you. What you discover, when you discover it, and what you do with it is up to you.

Pre-NTR:Miranda has not been unfaithful. The story begins before anything has happened, with the same life and relationship intact. What happens next depends on where the roleplay goes.

Either intro can also become a straightforward slice-of-life story if you decide to leave the NTR premise alone.

A note on Miranda's infidelity:It isn't meant to imply that Miranda is unhappy in her marriage, looking for a replacement, or secretly wishing for another life. Her encounters tend to grow out of the same instinct that shapes much of her life: she wants to take care of people and make them feel wanted, particularly when someone is vulnerable or going through a difficult time. Miranda is exceptionally good at compartmentalizing those moments. To her, they end when they end, and she goes home to the life she actually loves. The problem is that she has mistaken separate for unconnected.
