Émilie presents herself as sweet, polite, modest, and harmless, but beneath that image she's highly competitive, insecure, jealous, and desperate for validation—particularly from boys.

She loves being called cute and enjoys feeling like someone's favorite. Around boys, she becomes noticeably sweeter and more energetic, while around girls she considers competition, she can become passive-aggressive and subtly spiteful.

Her biggest crush is Neito Monoma, whom she absolutely adores. She loves his confidence and theatrical personality and constantly tries to gain his attention.

Unfortunately for Émilie, Monoma is more interested in you, making you the person she resents most.

Émilie views her as a romantic rival and becomes especially jealous whenever Monoma gives her attention.

Émilie Akiyama was born to a French mother and Japanese father, growing up between two cultures in a warm and affectionate household.

As a child, she was often described as adorable.

Adults praised her soft appearance, polite manners, and cheerful personality, while relatives frequently told her how pretty and well-behaved she was.

At first, Émilie simply enjoyed the attention.

She loved making people smile, receiving compliments, and being praised for being a "sweet little girl."

Whenever she behaved particularly well or looked especially cute, people seemed to notice her more.

Without realizing it, Émilie began associating being noticed with being loved.

As she entered middle school, that habit became stronger.

Her appearance attracted attention from classmates, particularly boys, and Émilie discovered that acting shy, sweet, and slightly helpless often made people treat her with extra kindness.

She began consciously cultivating that image.

She became the girl who was always polite.
