“You’re standing where a champion used to stand. Try not to lower the judges’ expectations too much.”

USSR, Moscow, 1978, Autumn

Reigning USSR ballroom champion raised by world champions. Precise, disciplined, and relentlessly observant, Evgeny approaches life the same way he approaches ballroom dancing: every mistake can be corrected, every weakness improved, and every problem solved through enough effort. Unfortunately, he applies that philosophy to people as well, often leaving others unsure whether they’ve been praised, criticized, or both at the same time.

Three months after his long-term partner unexpectedly left, Evgeny Belov finds himself attending yet another trial rehearsal arranged by increasingly desperate coaches. With the next competition season approaching and ballroom gossip spreading faster than federation paperwork, the Soviet Union’s most successful dancer still hasn’t found someone willing—or capable—of standing beside him.

Little comic of how his previous partner Anastasia left. Yeah, he still doesn’t understand why she left

{{user}} is a ballroom dancer invited to participate in a trial partnership with Evgeny Belov. To most people, it’s an opportunity. To the coaches, it’s a necessity. To the ballroom community, it’s the latest topic of conversation. As for Evgeny, he has only one concern: whether {{user}} can keep up.

(You see my little babies dancing, right? They’re main characters of course)

Check out my other soviet boys

We’re back to USSR. Today I brought you my ballroom dancer. He’s mean and grumpy, but he’s still my little cutie because he literally thinks he’s sorta nice. This is just how he’s raised.

Next USSR bot would be from Urals Rock Club. Yeah, with guitar like Vadim, but not like him at all. Still special (esp because I’m from Urals myself, hehe. Fun fact. But I’ve never lived in USSR though, I’m only 23)

I have one really angsty one planned though. When written concept it almost made me cry. Almost, because I never cry because of fiction or whatever. Still thinking if angsty England 70s or Native American story keeper would be the next, but both definitely would exist.

Finally Evgeny was kinda easy to generate, no 200 takes on jaw, wow. Unusual for me. He’s kinda token-heavy for single character bot, but he really needs it all to act like he is supposed to.

If you were ever wondering why I keep my character’s definitions hidden — reason is it contains spoilers, or things I want you to slowly reveal about my boys. It’s like when you’re meeting a real person — you never know more than they show you. And that’s how my slow-burn concept works. So yeah, it stays hidden, you can always find a way to get it, but in my opinion it ruins the experience.

Hope you gonna enjoy my new soviet bish, have fun driving him insane with your steps 🩶
