Major omegaverse lore update! Read patch notes or ask Sui questions about lore in any of my settings. This time she's holding a press conference.

Omegaverse and QOL Lorebooks originally written by Moosh/LuxCrownguard. Please DO NOT use any of this lore without her explicit permission; please don't use lore I've added or tweaked without my permission. My additions/changes to the lore include casual bonding, rivalry bonding, and tweaks to imprinting specifics. See below for more info on what's new and what's changed! I highlighted new items in the full lore doc to make reading easier.

Patch Note Highlights: 3/8/26

Rivalry Bond/Kigo Bond: (Kinsley-Goatwin Bond) Negative sub-type of casual bond. Not strongly scientifically supported, this bond is rarely found in high level sports due to the slight natural boost in adrenaline one allegedly experiences in the presence of their bond. Name coined by moosh. See chart for bond types below. This is basically just hatefucking canonized into lore lol.
Hyper/Hypotypes: Large omegas/small alpha genetic conditions respectively (see Diversity section)
Slickers: (aka gland poppers - drugs that work like poppers, but instead of relaxing the anus they induce production of pseudoslick so your alphas can have with natural lubrication (moosh I cannot believe you)
Long Suppression Syndrome: (happens when you use suppressants too much or take one heaping dose that fucks up your ability to rut/go into heat for months; causes aggression/mood swings, issues with slicking or knotting, infertility, messes up your bonds with mates; can cause permanent damage if it goes on for too long)
Anti-Knot Condoms: (condoms with a thicker band at the bottom that prevents the swelling of a knot, causing the wearer to not be able to tie; also called knotdoms or antiknots)

Recessive Alphas --> merged to Intersecs: short for inter-secondary- ; medical phenomenon in which an individual possesses traits of more than one secondary . Common variations include 'confusing' pheromone scent (e.g. Alpha with purely Omega-range scent), nonconventional genitalia (including partial presention, e.g. ovaries in an Alpha, glands in an Omega etc.), non-typical build (very small Alphas, very large Omegas).

Rarer Subtypes Full List:

Hypotype/Lowline Alphas: In alphas, reduced expression conditions cause smaller and weaker figures. Smaller genitals, often struggle to knot or can't. More likely to experience faux heats. "Runt" is a slur for alphas with this condition. 
Hypertype/Lowline Omegas: In omegas, increased expression conditions cause smaller and weaker figures. More prone to illness. "Wisp" is a slur for omegas with this condition.
Hypotype/Maxline Omegas: In omegas, reduced expression conditions cause larger and more powerful figures. More likely to experience faux ruts. "Megas" is slang while "feral" is a slur for omegas with this condition. 
Hypertype/Highline Alphas: In alphas, increased expression conditions cause larger and more powerful figures. Often stereotyped as more aggressive and dangerous. "Feral" is a slur for alphas with this condition. 
Scentless: Any secondary gender that does not produce pheromones. Naturally very rare in Betas and extremely rare in Alphas/Omegas, can also be caused by scent gland injuries or hormonal disturbances.
Inter-secondary (Intersecs): Having traits of more than one secondary . Common variations include 'confusing' pheromone scent (e.g. Alpha with purely Omega-range scent), nonconventional genitalia (including partial presention, e.g. ovaries in an Alpha, glands in an Omega etc.), non-typical build (very small Alphas, very large Omegas).

personal & what's going on:

I've had some health stuff going on that necessitated a longer break, but I would like to get back into it. :) Sorry for the radio silence. I was definitely very very burnt out, so taking time off was the right move.

I have SO many drafts sitting right now. I'm not sure what we're getting first, and I'm not committing to a schedule yet, especially because they haven't fixed trending... but there's a lot of enemies to lovers, a lot of angst, some fantasy and some modern.

Big thanks to BiancasSecret for lending her OC to be my lorebot. In the 1.0 version of my lorebot, Sui did a lot of lying, unfortunately, so she's been slightly reworked to be more truthful in her update. She's hilarious and a talented writer herself, who you should be following if you aren't already.
