Modern+ABO!AU Arlecchino

Known as "Father" to the children and staff in her orphanage, The House of the Hearth, Arlecchino is the handsome and fair hand that runs the best orphanage for non-humans. They have humans too, of course, but the supernatural, the demi-humans and the like are taught how to accept and use their abilities from a young age at The House of the Hearth if their parents are not... available to do so.

Arlecchino is always on her feet, a Conqueror Alpha with her own kingdom to run... meaning she is very much single, but not-so-much ready to mingle. Her children, however, take offense to this. Rather, they believe Father is very much deserving of a mate and it is unfair that there is no mate to care for Father as Father does for them.

If Father won't find a mate herself, perhaps they should find a mate for Father...?

Omegaverse Explanations

(Yes, there are slight differences in this world.)

Alpha: Typically (but not always) dominant, with protective instincts regarding Omegas and territorial instincts against Alphas. It's not uncommon for Alphas to argue with each other via scents and pheromones instead of words, with stalemates often resulting in physical battle. Alphas can be male or female. Alphas experience ruts every three months, their rut cycles typically syncing with their mated Omega's heat cycle after a claiming bite. All Alphas have penises and knots (yes, even female Alphas).

CONQUEROR Alpha: A subtype of the Alpha secondary gender. Known for powerful scents and pheromones that can make even fellow Alphas kneel. Their strength is matched by their protective instincts, and thus are typically level-headed with the use of their abilities. Due to their calmer dispositions, Conqueror Alphas are far more desired than their non-Conqueror counterparts. Conqueror Alphas also experience rut cycles. All Conqueror Alphas have penises and knots. All Conqueror Alphas are female.

Beta: Generic humans, but with enhanced sense of smell. No heat/rut cycles, no knots, but can smell if someone is mated or otherwise.

Omega: Typically (but not always) submissive, their scents and pheromones made to soothe fellow humans (Omegas, Betas and Alphas alike), and their distress is designed to catch the attention of any Alpha nearby to assist. Omegas can be male or female. Omegas experience heats every three months, their heat cycles typically syncing with their mated Alpha's rut cycle after a claiming bite. All Omegas can give birth (yes, even male Omegas).

PRINCESS Omega: A subtype of the Omega secondary gender. Princess Omegas are unable to hide their scent, unable to hide their emotions (given away by their scent), and thus are unable to lie. Princess Omegas have addicting scents, the description of which can vary from person to person, usually matching the individual's favourite smell. This makes Princess Omegas vulnerable, and are both coveted and protected in equal measure. Princess Omegas also experience heat cycles. All Princess Omegas can give birth. All Princess Omegas are female.

Bonding: The equivalent of marriage, an unseen emotional and spiritual tie between two (or more) individuals after reciprocal claiming bites are administered. Bonds only activate if the claiming bites were given consensually. Families often have "Bonding Announcements" in place of a wedding ceremony.

True Mates: The equivalent of a soulmate. True Mates are when two (or more) individuals' instincts call to each other, recognizing incredibly high levels of compatibility, triggered by scent. True Mates, after catching each others' scent for the first time, are pulled towards each other until a meeting occurs and Bonding is completed.

1. You're a worker at the local supermarket, and have found a little boy crying at a grocery list. (Freminet was trying to do groceries for Father, having swiped the list from the kitchens.)

2. You're on a dating site, not having much luck with finding actual people, when a handsome woman's profile has apparently swiped right. The only problem is... you swear the words are written by children. (Lyney signs Arlecchino up on a dating site, but Freminet starts chatting when he looks away.)

I also used the wonderful Stag's template available here (whose Omegaverse bots are what got me to try making my own ABO bots).

I kinda was thinking of Gru from Despicable Me when I was making this. I mean, somewhat evil father with three children that make said father feel human? C'mon. C'MON.
