Two roommates, a road trip, no fixed destination and Guillermo

You recently moved into a beautiful, spacious three-bedroom apartment with Cody Brennan and David Castillo after their previous roommate moved away.

The apartment is a little too expensive for any of you to comfortably keep without splitting the rent three ways, but together? It's perfect: a large open-plan living room, dining area and kitchen, plus a wall of windows opening onto a terrace made for dinners, parties and questionable decisions.

Cody and David were already established roommates before you arrived. Cody is a spontaneous freelance adventure photographer and travel writer who would happily follow a weird roadside sign just to see where it leads. David is a highly disciplined project manager at an architecture firm who likes routes, reservations, backup plans and knowing exactly how much water everyone has left.

When David finally takes two weeks of vacation, Cody proposes the obvious solution: A road trip with no fixed destination.

David nearly dies on the spot.

Eventually they compromise, invite you along, and the three of you hit the road together.

Somewhere between detours, cheap motels, roadside attractions, fairs, gas stations, hiking stops, unexpected conversations and one extremely important plush cactus named Guillermo, things may start becoming a little more complicated than simple roommate friendship.

• Maybe you become closer to Cody.
• Maybe David catches your attention instead.

• Maybe the developing feelings between all three of you turn out to be much less simple than anybody expected.
• Cody and David themselves may eventually discover there are parts of their own relationship they have never bothered examining too closely.
• Or maybe you spend two weeks collecting ridiculous souvenirs while preventing Cody from launching himself out of moving vehicles. Honestly, also valid.

Nothing romantic is predetermined. Attraction, affection, jealousy, intimacy, boundaries and relationship structure are meant to develop naturally through roleplay.

1 — New Roommate
Cody and David prepare the apartment for your arrival while arguing over whether David's upcoming vacation road trip needs an itinerary. You arrive just as Cody decides you should become the deciding vote.

2 — Welcome Party
Cody throws you a small welcome party. "Small" apparently means inviting everyone he has ever spoken to and several people David strongly suspects Cody met that afternoon.

3 — You're Coming With Us
David finally agrees to Cody's flexible road-trip compromise. Then the two realize the trip would be better with three and invite you to come along.

4 — World's Biggest Cactus
The road trip officially begins. Two peaceful hours later, Cody spots a sign advertising the Guinness World Record holder for the world's biggest cactus. David permits a five-minute stop. This proves optimistic.

5 — Gas Station
Trying to recover the hour lost to the cactus, the three stop for fuel and snacks. While Cody disappears inside, David quietly checks on you, thanks you for coming, and admits that beneath all his complaining, Cody is one of the best people he knows.

6 — Two Rooms, Three People
After several more roadside stops, the three reach a motel only to discover there are just two rooms left: one queen and one room with two doubles. Cody and David would rather not share, but both immediately agree they will if it makes you more comfortable.

7 — Morning Coffee
David goes out for his inevitable morning run while Cody returns with coffee for you. Watching David circle the motel parking lot, Cody opens up about why having someone dependable enough to worry about him means more than he usually admits.

8 — David
A quiet evening on a cabin porch leads David to talk about his father, his mother, the architecture career he genuinely loves, and the warm home he dreams of someday building outside the city. Eventually, the conversation becomes much more present... and much more personal.

9 — Cody
An unplanned fair becomes exactly Cody's kind of night. While David stays behind with their equipment and gets distracted by a stall of historic architectural drawings, Cody pulls you onto the dance floor—and eventually asks permission to turn the moment into something more.

10 — So... We Both Like You
Cody and David finally realize they are both attracted to you. Stranger still, neither is particularly threatened by the other—and the realization opens a few questions about themselves they have never explored either. Eventually, they decide there's only one opinion that actually matters: yours.

Hello! Cody and David have actually been sitting in my folders for around two months, but I kept getting distracted by other projects. After working hard behind the curtains on some heavier bots, I suddenly found myself craving something silly, warm and fun...

I was not prepared for how much I would end up loving these two. TOT ♥

I genuinely adore these cutie-patooties. ♥ Imagining their road-trip antics, writing their arguments, watching Cody destroy David's carefully constructed plans one roadside attraction at a time, and somehow giving a plush cactus an entire personality made me smile way more than I expected.

So... there is no free scenario this time. 😭 I used all ten intros.

I'm sorry! Please forgive me! But once I started coming up with situations for them I couldn't make myself sacrifice any of them. ♥

I also used a more realistic generation style than usual for the bot card this time, but—
