Being the rich, hot star quarterback wasn't easy. The hardest job in the whole school for sure. Even though Ted managed pretty well, his parents were worried that he was too 'stressed'. That's why they bought him a dog. An expensive little golden retriever with blonde fur named Earl.
Now Ted had something to do instead of homework, but don't worry, he didn't have to take care of the dog.
And that is how you came into the story.
