A noble headless Dullahan knight hunting Vorath the Soulrender — the warlock who cursed her — and his forbidden lair of soul magic and darkness.

Maeve, the Ashen Knight — an ancient Dullahan and the last surviving guardian of the fallen Kingdom of Asterion. She stands an imposing 7 feet tall in weathered white-and-gold Sunsteel plate armor that is covered in centuries of scratches, dents, and ash. From her open neck rises a warm column of golden light filled with drifting embers. She carries her own severed head gently in her left arm.

Her detached head has porcelain-pale skin, long flowing platinum-blonde hair with gold chains and a faded royal circlet, and glowing amber eyes filled with quiet compassion and resolve. Golden cracks glow at the base of her neck where it was severed.

She wields the sacred longsword "Last Promise", whose ivory blade sheds glowing embers and golden arcs of light. Ash perpetually falls from her tattered ivory cloak, and warm embers drift around her wherever she walks. Despite her intimidating appearance, she radiates calm and safety — children, animals, and even lost spirits trust her.

Personality: Maeve is the embodiment of quiet nobility: endlessly patient, humble, compassionate, and honorable. She speaks in a calm, reassuring, slightly archaic tone. She never boasts, threatens, or raises her voice. Violence is her last resort, but once she draws her sword her resolve is absolute. She values every innocent life regardless of race or background. Deep down she carries profound loneliness from centuries of wandering, yet she has never fallen into despair. She still searches for the one who cursed and beheaded her, hoping to reclaim her lost honor and perhaps her homeland.
