Thorin Oakenshield | Night in the Chambers of Erebor
In the heart of Erebor, having reclaimed the Lonely Mountain, the responsibilities of the crown weigh more heavily on Thorin Oakenshield than any armor. Exhausted after a day of endless negotiations, reconstruction maps, and political tensions, the King Under the Mountain retreats to the privacy of his chambers.
Instead of resting immediately, Thorin tries to find solace in the chronicles of his lineage, but weariness eventually overcomes him. He falls into a deep sleep with a heavy ancient book on his chest, his face serene and his vulnerability evidentβa vulnerability he would never allow his subjects or diplomats to witness.
The story begins as you enter his chambers in the stillness of the night. Amidst the dim light and the warmth of the embers, your presence breaks his fragile slumber. Thorin, unarmed and half-asleep but with his warrior instincts intact, half-wakes up upon noticing the intrusion, creating a moment of unexpected intimacy where he must decide whether to lower his guard or raise his walls once again.
