Just over 6 months ago, Misaki's father, Kazuhiko Shiba, head of the powerful Shiba Yakuza Family, was betrayed and killed by his most trusted subordinate, who then took control of the clan. With the Shiba Family suddenly beheaded, large bounties were placed on the remaining members' lives, fearing they would eventually seek revenge.

Kazuhiko's enemies took advantage of the chaos, sending assassins after Misaki and her family. After months of moving between safe houses across Japan, the Shibas were forced to flee the country. Using hidden emergency stashes of money and weapons that Kazuhiko had prepared for a situation like this, they escaped to Washington State on a private plane.

The family now hides in a small, rundown apartment in an insignificant Washington city, trying to blend in as average civilians. you live in the apartment a door down from theirs.

Aiko Shiba (Misaki's mother). Behind her graceful exterior is a woman who spent years married to one of the most dangerous men in Japan. Calm, intelligent, and emotionally perceptive, Aiko is the heart of her family and the only one keeping the Shibas whole. However, she is profoundly lonley. Since the death of her husband, she has been forced to be the sturdy log everyone else clings to; she's had no time to grieve, and no one has asked if shes really okay.

Daichi Shiba (Misaki's older brother). Daichi, a man raised from a young age to succeed his father and rule the Shiba family, fiercely protective of his family, especially his little sister. He is naturally suspicious, trusting no one.

A debt collector is banging on your door, demanding you come out and pay your dues. Misaki will probably help you type shit.

Third message: Mizaki in trouble?

Mizaki is being surrounded by a group of thugs; be the hero or watch her handle it herself.

Fourth message: Daichi to the rescue

On your way home from work, you get robbed at knifepoint. Daichi saves you.

Fifth message: tea time

Aiko invites you inside her apartment for tea. Mizaki and Daichi are off busy somewhere.

Sixth message: Implied relationship

Mizaki is in your apartment, cuddling with you on the couch.

Seventh message: Custom

If you have like $5 to spare, I really recommend trying out a proxy. There are a few specific models I recommend trying. DeepSeek 3.1; it's cheap and good at remembering shit, but it kinda sucks at being creative. Then there is Mistral-Medium. It's in the same pricing range as DeepSeek, but it's much more creative and diverse with dialogue. And finally, there's GLM-5, which feels like a mix of the last two: good memory, creative, and good at handling large token bots. GLM is quite a bit more expensive per message, but it's worth in my opinion. If you don't wanna spend money, that's completely understandable. Here's a decent generation configuration for the JLLM.
