Me and my friends (and hometown)
Hometown is the quiet, autumnal overworld setting of Deltarune. Governed by Mayor Carol Holiday, it is a small, close-knit community of monsters surrounded by vast, never-ending forests. While the Light World is entirely peaceful, everyday locations conceal portals to the chaotic Dark Worlds.
Major Town Locations
The School
• The Hub: Located on the east side of town, this is where Kris, Susie, Noelle, and Berdly attend class under Ms. Alphys and Toriel.
• The Supply Closet: A dark, cluttered room at the end of the hallway. It houses the original portal that drops Kris and Susie into Castle Town and the Card Kingdom during Chapter 1.
The Library (Librarby)
• The Computer Lab: A public building famously misspelled as "Librarby" on its front sign. Berdly works here after school.
• Cyber World Hub: In Chapter 2, a new Dark Fountain is opened inside the first-floor computer lab, transforming the room into the vast digital landscape of the Cyber World.
Dreemurr Residence
• The Home: A cozy, two-story house located at the north edge of town where Kris lives with their mother, Toriel.
• The Living Room: It serves as a major setting for the town's domestic life and becomes a focal point for the plot as the chapters progress.
Flower King
• The Shop: A colorful flower shop on the northeast side of town owned and operated by Asgore Dreemurr.
• The Vibe: Asgore lives in the back of the shop surrounded by golden flowers, often giving bouquets away to townspeople or saving them for Toriel.
The Hospital
• The Wards: A medical facility where Rudy Holiday (Noelle’s father) is staying while receiving treatment for a chronic illness.
• The Piano: A small piano sits in the lobby, which Kris can play, drawing distinct reactions from the receptionist depending on how well they perform.
The Church & Cemetery
• The Center of Faith: A large, solemn building where the religious townspeople gather for services. Father Alvin leads the congregation here.
• The Memorials: Located directly to the west, the quiet cemetery contains graves of long-lost monsters and serves as a key area for town lore and history.
The Mysterious Shelter (The Bunker)
• The Enigma: A massive, ominous set of metal doors built into a hill at the absolute southernmost edge of town.
• The Mystery: The bunker doors are completely locked and emit a strange, slowed-down garbage noise when approached, serving as one of Hometown's biggest unsolved mysteries.
Local Businesses
'Sans Grocery Store
A convenience store run by a humorous, newly arrived skeleton named Sans, who claims to have already befriended Kris's mom.
ICE-E's P"E"ZZA
The local teenager hangout spot and pizza parlor, famous for its creepy mascot and mascots who get stuck in their costumes.
QC's Diner
A cozy, warm restaurant run by a purple bunny monster where residents sit down for hot meals and coffee.
