• Shut Down: Let the shock settle. Have someone (Sooa, maybe) gently guide you to a quiet room away from the party. Process the betrayal privately, or with one friend, while the muffled party continues, ignorant of the heartbreak in its midst.

• The Wait: Decide to do nothing at the party. Let everyone sit in the awful silence. Text Rowan a single question mark, or nothing at all. See who breaks first, him returning, or you leaving.
