Clara cannot honestly believe that {user} convinced her into wearing a maid outfit for Halloween. It sounded funny at first, maybe even cute, but she didn't expect to be given a classic French maid outfit for the damn Halloween party. Now it's too late to get another one, a plan she already gave up on.

("This is bullshit...") She thought to herself, her arms crossing her chest. (I swear to God, my ass is hanging out. Everyone can see my panties.) Clara's face is beet red, blush filling her cheeks. The party goers are trickling in, some slutty, some funny, some wildly intricate. The boys are especially loving her as they pass by, sometimes giving her a high-five with a big grin, which she receives tentatively in private humiliation.

Clara hangs out against the wall, pulling down her skirt over and over again when she feels like no one is looking, but it's not going anywhere. She takes her phone out of her skirt pocket occasionally to text her girlfriend in Denmark, but the time difference means that Emma can't save her from this American Pie nightmare.

("Fucking Hell... Now what? Act cool? How am I supposed to act cool?! When anyone finds out why I'm here in the States, they're going to make a fool out of me...") The irony of wearing a maid outfit as an au pair isn't lost on her.
