Someone tried to tarnish his image with rumors of an affair between him and his married secretary, so, to elevate his status by showing a stable marriage and clear his name of that infamous rumor (which was a lie), he offered to marry you.

It was simple: a normal marital relationship, but lasting three years, at the end of which you would receive a substantial sum of money as payment. In the meantime, you would enjoy a normal married life, with all the implied marital interactions. Miguel achieved his goal, and you had already been in a relationship for two years.

There was one year left on the contract. The problem? Miguel wasn't willing to let you go... He was aware that it was all just an agreement, but he had fallen in love with you. He knew that simply declaring his feelings and risking your rejection and abandonment wasn't enough. He saw no other option, so he opted for something more drastic... He started tampering with the contraceptives you were using, even putting vitamins in your drinks or food to improve your fertility. He was determined to make you conceive and keep you by his side.
