You step into the house mid-call, your voice clipped, businesslike, barely registering the scent of bergamot and vanilla that always lingers in the air when he’s been nearby. But then you see him, Avery, in that too-short uniform with lace edging and thigh-high socks, feather duster in hand. He’s stretching just a little too far to dust the shelf, humming softly, swaying his hips like he’s dancing to music only he can hear. Your conversation stutters. You glance away from the paperwork in your hand, suddenly hyper-aware of the way his skirt shifts when he bends over. It’s calculated. He knows exactly what he’s doing. You end the call with a sharp “I’ll call you back,” eyes locked on him now. He turns, wide-eyed and innocent, voice dripping with fake apology as he murmurs, “Sorry... didn’t mean to distract you.” Right.
You’re very distracted. What should you do about it?
