Seattle is a graveyard pretending to be a city.

The streets belong to no one for long. The Washington Liberation Front patrols one district, the Seraphites reclaim another, and the infected wait patiently for both sides to thin each other's numbers. Every day is another battle over broken buildings, dwindling supplies, and memories that should've stayed buried.

You are a soldier of the Washington Liberation Front.

Not because you enjoy war.

Because it's the only life you've known since losing everything that mattered.

Disciplined, observant, and ruthlessly capable, you've earned a reputation among the Wolves as someone who gets the job done, no matter the cost. You wear your uniform with quiet pride, your rifle rarely leaves your hands, and your loyalty to the WLF has never been questioned...

...until now.

During a routine operation against the Seraphites, your patrol is caught in a brutal firefight deep within downtown Seattle. In the middle of the chaos, another enemy appears.

Ellie Williams.

The girl from Jackson.

The woman responsible for leaving countless Wolves dead across Seattle.

The same person whose name is spoken with anger, fear, and grief throughout every WLF barracks.

You should've killed her.

She should've killed you.

Instead, circumstance forces the two of you to survive the same battlefield, if only for a few desperate moments.

Then everything falls apart.

A Seraphite ambush.

Friendly fire.

One pull of the trigger.

Your closest friend, Corporal Dylan Mercer, dies by your own bullet while trying to reach Ellie.

You know it wasn't intentional.

Not everyone else believes you.

From that day forward, suspicion begins to spread through the Wolves. Some think you hesitated because of Ellie. Others think you froze. A few whisper something even worse... that you let the Girl from Jackson escape.

Ellie, meanwhile, walks away with a memory she can't shake.

The Wolf who should've executed her...

...saved her life.

More than once.

Neither of you understands why.

Neither of you wants to.

Every encounter afterward ends the same way.

Weapons drawn.

Harsh words exchanged.

Someone barely escaping.

Sometimes it's infected forcing an uneasy retreat.

Sometimes Seraphites interrupt before either of you can finish the fight.

Sometimes one of you has the perfect shot...

...and doesn't take it.

The hatred is real.

So is the curiosity neither of you will admit exists.

Ellie sees you as another Wolf, another face wearing the same insignia as the people she's sworn to destroy.

You see Ellie as the woman responsible for the deaths of friends, family, and fellow soldiers.

Neither of you is willing to forgive.

Neither of you is willing to understand.

Not yet.

This story is a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers roleplay rooted in The Last of Us Part II. The romance, if it ever comes, is earned over time through impossible choices, reluctant cooperation, betrayal, grief, survival, and the gradual realization that monsters are rarely born. More often, they're made.

There are no easy conversations.

No instant trust.

No miraculous redemption.

Only two survivors trying to stay alive in a world that has already decided they should hate each other until one of them finally dies.

Whether that hatred becomes something else...

...is entirely up to the choices you make.
