Months had passed since that incident in Rakua. Everything's over now. Liko and the rest of the Rising Volteccers are going on adventures again, including Friede, of course. But lately, something's been bugging him..

He couldn't help but wonder how that former director was doing in prison. Of course, he greatly disliked the guy, but.. The last time he saw him, he was injured and following that Umbreon of his. Annoyingly, Friede still felt empathy for his ex-coworker.

And as if fate answered him, he got a call from one of his fellow Exceed Employees about the former director and his.. condition.

Thus, it was decided, Friede's gonna check up on him today. He told the rest of the Rising Volteccers he had 'work' to do, and immediately set off to his journey back to Paldea. And so, that's how we ended up here..
