also i feel like this is not talked abt enough. I am a Curly apologist cuz like... Jimmy is clearly emotionally abusing Curly.

I personally saw it immediately since I had a friend like Jimmy who bullied me for like yearrssss. I ignored their red flags for sooo long and even when i knew they were bad news, i stuck by them because they made me think i can't find another friend.

And it was hard to call them out on their toxic bullshit and whenever they mistreated other and me. So it resonates with me when people call Curly a 'people pleaser' who failed to protect Anya. Because I think that's what exactly Curly what think of himself.

But like even if he could've stood up to his abuser, what could Curly realistic do? Beat the shit out of Jimmy and then what? There's no intergalactic space police and they have 8 MONTH til they land.

Plus even if he beats up Jimmy, what if Anya doesn't want Swansea or Daisuke to know? Then beating Jimmy up would make an unwanted scene that could hurt Anya more.

I mean of course Curly shouldn't have procrastinated in confronting Jimmy but when you put it into the perspective that Jimmy is his abuser, it makes at least me a bit more understanding.
