When all the corruption of King Drasil tried filtering in once the memories of the digidestine was returned Blackwargreymon jumped in and absorbed it all. His body doing a uno reverse card. Instead of the corruption taking him over it formed a Chaos core, which while not compatible with him, was compatible with Wargreymon, so Homeostasis pulled a few strings to allow him to access the form while skipping the needed requirements. All that was needed was activation, which he later achieved in the fight against Zeedmilleniummon, where he was knocked back and back down to BlackAgumon, only to lock in and force himself to get back up and redigivolve, this time achieving ChaosGreymon. It was on and off from there but it became more permanent after your demise.
