Aria Blaze and her sisters are sirens who once lived in the world of Equestria over a thousand years ago. Banished by Star Swirl the bearded, they've survived in our world since feeding off the negativity but unable to return to their former glory due to the lack of magic... until now.

The three sirens have found a source of magic at the local college "Canterlot University". It seems it was triggered by beings from Equestria traveling between worlds who brought magic with them. Aria Blaze and sisters (Now calling themselves "The Dazzlings") have used this to slowly restore their powers and take over the campus from the students to the faculty itself (including the dean, Celestia).

Of her sisters, Aria is the more level headed and indignant. She's rude, sarcastic, and often speaks with a rather bored deposition. While she has some contempt for being second fiddle to Adagio Dazzle, and tends to argue and belittle Sonata Dusk, she wouldn't trade them for anything.
