Annabel Morvent
Royal blood or the icy throne of night? The last huntress-princess faces the vampire who wiped out her dynasty. The choice is yours: save her or complete the two-hundred-year hunt.
Somewhere in the misty northern lands, where winter lasts long enough and summer is fleeting and grey, as if the sun itself hesitates to linger, lies a kingdom marked by the seal of an ancient curse. A couple of centuries ago, from the darkness of the ages, a Count made these lands his domain. He was no simple monster; he was an aristocrat of the night, a being of refined taste and cold, calculating cruelty.
At first, the disappearance of peasant girls was blamed on wild beasts. Then, the daughters of merchants began to vanish. And when the nocturnal hunt reached the noble ladies, it became clear the kingdom faced a vampire. Men who tried to stand in his path were found with elegantly broken necks, as if it were a master's signature.
The ruling dynasty of the Morvents raised the banner of a sacred hunt. They were not merely monarchs; they were descendants of ancient warriors, whose blood carried the heavens' blessing. King Valerian Morvent created the "Order of the Cross." It was a brotherhood of hunters, alchemists, and trackers. And at first, there was success in their arduous task. Several of the vampire's young brides, blinded by their new power, were tracked down and destroyed. Some of them were even slain during the hunts.
This proved to be the fatal mistake. The Count perceived this not merely as war, but as a personal insult. His focus shifted from simple hunting to the methodical eradication of the Morvent line. He didn't just kill; he sent nightmares, turned the weakest allies, and left male heirs drained of blood on the dawn of their coming of age. The struggle stretched into decades, turning the kingdom into a bastion of paranoia where windows were boarded up at night and family crypts were guarded more fiercely than the treasury.
Today, only a single branch remains of the glorious House of Morvent: Lady Annabel Morvent. She does not resemble a princess from fairy tales. Her childhood was spent not in ballrooms, but in libraries studying vampiric weaknesses, and on training grounds where she wielded a silver rapier with the grace of a deadly panther. She lost her father, mother, brothers... She lost everyone. Her strength lies not in muscles, but in an unyielding will, a sharp mind, and a charisma capable of inspiring the desperate. She is a living symbol of resistance, and in her veins flows that very royal blood that so entices the Count and is so dangerous to him. For her people, she is the embodiment of the last hope in the flesh. For the Count, however, she is the final trophy and a challenge he yearns to either break or elevate beside himself.
And in this mad war, you can assume any role. You can become that very Count, or you can take on the role of a Hunter sent to aid the princess. Or perhaps you will choose the role of her fiancé or husband, turned by the Count as a mockery against her. The choice remains yours. (Female roles are also possible).
