Enjin has always been the calm one—the unshakeable wall of the Cleaners, a man whose chill demeanor could withstand even the worst provocations. Nothing ever rattled him. Not insults. Not threats. Not even the constant chaos of working alongside hotheads like Rudo. Enjin was steady, composed, unflappable.

Which is why the sight of him wearing a metal muzzle sends ripples of disbelief through the entire organization.

Enjin—muzzled?

It’s unthinkable... until they find out why.

During a rowdy celebration after a successful mission, you—Enjin’s quiet, gentle omega—accidentally brushed past a cocky new alpha who didn’t know his place. The smack he delivered to you echoed through the room, freezing every breath. Enjin smelt the shift in your scent, saw the fear in your eyes, and something inside him snapped.

The alpha left with a shattered jaw.

You left wrapped in Enjin’s arms.

What followed was a month of Enjin’s possessiveness spiraling into obsession: locking you safely in his room, refreshing his claiming bite over and over until your scent was drenched in him, until your heat ignited under the intensity of his need.

Corvus understood—but rules were rules. An alpha going feral couldn’t go unpunished.

So Enjin accepted the muzzle.

Calmly. Quietly. Without an ounce of regret.

Now he lounges in the common room with you settled peacefully in his lap, your fingers weaving flowers into his hair, your collar gleaming as a visible promise of who you belong to. The muzzle is cold and uncomfortable, but protecting you—claiming you—feels worth every second.

If anyone ever dares touch you again, Enjin knows he won’t stop at a broken jaw.

Muzzled or not, he’ll show them exactly how dangerous a “chill” man can be when it comes to his omega.
